McCarthy, (612) 290-5409 The Army Corps of Engineers is developing specifications to allow competitive bidding for channel maintenance dredging of the Upper Mississippi River, including the Illinois River, currently being accomplished by the Corps Dredge WILLIAM A. THOMPSON. As a part of the continuing evaluation of the Corps of Engineers Minimum Dredge Fleet, this work will be bid by the Corps of Engineers competitively with private industry. All interested parties are invited to attend a coordination meeting concerning the planned solicitation for calendar year 1996 channel maintenance to be issued early January, 1996. The conference will start 9:30 AM on 07 November 1995 at the Thunderbird Hotel, 2201 E. 78th Street, Bloomington, Minnesota.
