C -- A/E SERVICES SOL RFP 521-107-96(WG) DUE 121995 POC Contact Point, Wanda Goolsby, (205)933-4492, Contracting Officer, Suzanne Jene', (205)933-4493 The DVAMC, Birmingham, AL, requires the services of an A/E for the Project titled ''RENOVATE NURSING UNITS, PHASE I''. The following services are required: 1. The A/E shall provide professional technical services for the development of Design Development Documents. Design Development Document typically include preliminary plans through 35%, working drawings, including schematics and cost estimates. The intent of this project is to totally renovate and upgrade nursing wards by focusing on improving patient privacy and the overall patient environment. Work may include, but is not limited to architectural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and asbestos abatement. 2. The A/E shall prepare all documents for this project from interaction and planning with the DVA Engineering Service and Acquistion & Materiel Management Service staff. The A/E shall meet with the DVAMC staff as required to accomplish the task described in the scope of work. The A/E shall make site surveys, verify as-built drawings, analyze existing utility systems as necessary, and complete any and all work necessary to frunish a complete Design Development in accordance with DVA Handbook-08-15, Volume C, ''Minimum Requirements for A/E Submissions'' for Minor and Minor Miscellaneous projects and scope of the referenced project. The construction costs for this project is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. The area of consideration is restricted to within a 200 mile radius of the DVAMC, Birmingham, AL. All interested firms should submit the appropriate data (SF 254 and SF 255) as required by numbered Note 24, to the Contracting Officer at the address listed above by CLOSE OF BUSINESS (4:30 PM LOCAL TIME) 12/19/95.
