Lockheed Martin Space Operations (LMSO), a NASA Prime Contractor at Kennedy Space Center, FL (KSC), seeks sources capable of providing a laboratory for quality control testing of Lithium Hydroxide, which is used for carbon dioxide removal in various gases. Testing must be performed in accordance with procedures and specifications which will be provided with the formal solicitation. The procedure specifies that a bench scale absorption test must be performed using a Lithium Hydroxide sample and carbon dioxide containing gas. Extensive analysis of the outlet gas and final Lithium Hydroxide samples are required. LMSO will issue a contract and samples of Lithium Hydroxide will be provided by Cyprus Foote Mineral Company. Interested firms should forward indications of interest, along with data, in duplicate, of company capabilities, past experience in this or related field, and any other information needed to establish bona fide capability to perform the requirements of this synopsis.
