Inspect/Repack MDE 8-inch Exhaust Flapper Valves, 5) Preserve
Transducer Hull Rings and Renew Depth Indicating Transducers, 6)
Overhal/Renew/Test Valves, 7)Inspect/Overhaul Dupelx Sea Strainers, 8)
Hyrdoblast Grey Water System Piping, 9) Remove/Reinstall Rudders, 10)
Overhaul Stablizing Fins, 11) Clean/Inspect Diesel Fuel Tanks, 12)
Preserve U/W Body, 13) Clean/Inspect Sewage/Grey Water Collection and
Holding Tanks, 14) Preserve Potable Tank(s), 15) Inspect/Maintain

Reference Electrode/Renew Cathodic Anode & Fairing/Ultrasonic Testing,
etc. Vessels' Homeport is Miami Beach, FL. Vessels' availability
schedules are 19 Feb 96 for BARANOF and 13 May 96 for CHANDELEUR, each
for 42 days availability. Place of performance is unrestricted. There
will be nonrefundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a
certified check or money order payable to the U. S. Coast Guad for
requested drawings. All other referenced documents are available for
viewing at Building 400N, Governors Island, NY. Funds are not presently
available for this procurement. The government's obligation under this
solicitation is contingent upon availability of appropriated funds
from which payment for contractual purposes can be made. The proposed
contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be issued on or
after 16 NOV 95. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall
be considered by the United States Coast Guard. For Minority,

Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
