Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation
(DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU),
has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged
business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance
for transportation- related contracts. Loans are available under DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
For further information and applicable forms concerning the STLP,
please call the OSDBU (800) 532-1169. All responsible sources may
submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Vessel will be
towed to Contractors facility where topside repairs will be completed.
A maintenance activation including operation of all the vessel
equipment, dock and sea trials, will be completed. Upon completion of
the activation, the vessel will be deactivated and towed to it's
storage site. The vessel will be towed from the National Defense
Reserve Fleet site at Beaumont, Texas to the Contravtor's facility
where topside hull and machinery repairs/testing will be accomplished.
The vessel willundergo a maintenance activation to include operation
of vessel equipment, dock/sea trial and deactivation, and willbe return
