Information regarding sources is being sought for commercial capabilities for off-the-shelf equipment for reducing the amount of nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, while limiting carbon monoxide emissions (CO), from packaged boilers. The boilers range in size from 4.87 MM Btu/hr to 178.00 MM Btu/hr and are fired on natural gas or a combination of natural gas or No. 2 fuel oil. The fuel is either air, steam, or mechanically atomized. Burner Mfg's: Peabody Engineering, Coen, Webster, Kewanne, and Gordon Piatt. Boiler Mfg's: Riley, Nebraska, Wickes, Erie City, Kewanee, and Burnham. Manufacturers of the NOx reduction equipment should submit the following information (1) a description of their equipment/technology and a explanation of how it works to reduce NOx emissions; (2) results of any previous emissions testing (specifically independent testing) conducted to demonstrate the technology's ability to reduce NOx while limiting CO emissions; (3) life cycle cost information including capital, operations, maintenance, and repair costs; (4) impact on unit output and fuel consumption.
