Sullivan, (202)565-9435 A response is requested from interested parties who would qualify and competitively bid this project if it were limited to Small Business Competition as defined by FAR 52.219. The project consists of approximately 95% new construction and 5% remodeled construction of approximately 108,000 Gross Square Feet. This phased hospital construction work is to be executed in approximately 26 months. The project's estimated cost range is between $20,000,000 and $50,000,000. Work includes a ground floor ambulatory care clinic, three floors of medical, surgical and neuro-surgical nursing units and one floor of mental health and behavioral nursing. Construction will consist of a braced steel frame, metal deck and poured-in-place concrete, exterior wall panels of glass fiber reinforced concrete, EIFS, soffits, aluminum windows, single-ply membrane roofing, metal stud framing, gypsum wallboard, acoustical ceilings, and a variety of interior finishes. An existing research building will be moved to a new location on the medical center grounds. Site work will include a new loading dock and relocation of existing services. Bidders will be required to furnish performance bonds, bid bonds and representation/certifications to comply with Small Business Prime/General constructors are to respond. Replies shall be submitted as a certified letter stating that they are a Small Business Prime/General Constractor who would bid the project and request that their name be placed on the mailing list to receive the Presolicitation Notice.
