This project consists of the replacement of the exhaust system in the toilet rooms of three buildings (Nos. 5902, 5903, and 5904) and the upgrading of the lighting system in one building (No. 5908) at the Westover Job Corps Center located in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The work involves the removal of through wall exhaust fans; the termination of existing power wiring and removal of the existing timer and junction boxes; the installation of new exhaust fans in the toilet rooms; the undercutting of toilet room doors; and the installation of new emergency lighting, wiring, conduit, and junction boxes. The period of performance for construction is 210 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed through completion of the project. The estimated cost range of construction is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Initial Plans and Specifications will be available on November 9, 1995, only from the Architect/Engineer firm of Miller Dyer Spears, Incorporated, 286 Congress Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02210. Requests must be in writing and will be answered on a first-come, first-served basis until the initial supply is exhausted. For requests made after the initial supply is exhausted, a non-refundable fee not to exceed the actual cost of reproduction of the IFB documents (to be determined by the Contracting Officer,) plus a shipping charge based on each individual request (if applicable,) will be required in order to obtain the IFB documents. Pre-Bid Walk-Thru is scheduled for November 21, 1995, at 1:00 p.m. (local) at the Center. This will be the only opportunity to review the job site prior to submission of bids.
