Z -- REPLACE LIQUID RHEOSTAT SYSTEM SERVING THE UNITARY WIND TUNNEL (B1251) POC NASA Langley Research Center, Industry Assistance Office, Mail Stop 144, Hampton, VA 23681-0001. In order that potential sources may offer comments on a Draft Specification, an advanced notice is published herein. Inputs are being requested from firms capable of performing the work required to provide a replacement liquid rheostat system for the Unitary Wind Tunnel main drive system. The requirements are as follows: 1) Demolition of the existing liquid rheostat system at the Unitary Wind Tunnel, 2) Relocation and modification of an excessed liquid rheostat from the National Transonic Facility to be utilized as the replacement liquid rheostat system for the Unitary Wind Tunnel, 3) Engineering required to modify and install the replacement liquid rheostat system, 4) Integration and commissioning of the replacement liquid rheostat system with the existing Unitary Wind Tunnel main drive system. NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) is issuing Request for Information (RFI) RFI-64-B1251 on or about October 20, 1995, and responses will be due twenty-one (21) calendar days thereafter. Requests for RFI-64-B1251 shall be submitted to NASA Langley Research Center, Industry Assistance Office, Mail Stop 144, Hampton, VA 23681-0001. This RFI is intended to solicit inputs to the proposed specification to provide a replacement liquid rheostat system for the Unitary Wind Tunnel main drive system, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
