99 -- DESIGN AND FABRICATE 63 BRONZE PLAQUES SOL DTFH61-96-Q-00014 DUE 112495 POC Viola Compton, Contract Specialist, 202-366-4239, HAM-40G. Sixty-three (63) bronze plaques, 23'' x 12'' x 1'', will be fabricated in bronze, finished with a green patina and including text. The complex design is based on an existing prototype and specification, involving a 3-dimensional memorial ribbon cast in bronze. The fabrication of a single plaque will be completed and submitted for FHWA review and approval prior to fabrication and completion of the remaining plaques. Plaques shall be shipped to FHWA offices nationwide within four weeks after award. Pricing should be FOB Destination. This is a small purchase/semplified acquisition. The FHWA's new simplified acquisition threshold is $50,000. Award will be made via a purchase order to the bidder whose bid is considered most advantageous to the Government based on price, technical and past performance factors, as set forth in the RFQ.
