shall provide all services, personnel, materials, audio visual aids,
training aids and travel and lodging to revise/update the existing
student courses materials and instructor teaching materials and
administer and present short courses of instruction entitled
''Surveying I (Basic) and Surveying II (Intermediate)''. A minimum of
two instructors, one lead instructor and one assistant instructor,
shall be available to teach the course sessions for Surveying I (Basic)
course. This course provides participants with the fundamental
knowledge and technology to insure effective performance of land-based
field surveying activities in support of USACE engineering design and
construction activities. It is intended for surveyors, planners,
designers, or CADD/GIS developers who require an understanding of basic
survey procedures and computational techniques needed to support civil
works, military construction, and environmental restoration projects.
This session will consist of 36 hours of classroom instruction. Course
location, dates and session numbers are: Session 96- 01, 3-7 June 1996,
Contractor's Facility; Session 96-02, 10-14 June 1996, Contractor's
Facility; Option years FY 97, FY 98 and FY 99 will be established for
each of the two sessions indicated. A minimum of two instructors, one
lead instructor and one assistant instructor, shall be available to
teach the course session for Surveying II (Intermediate). This course
supplements the Surveying I (Basic) Course with more advanced plane
surveying techniques. The course provides participants with the
knowledge and technology to insure effective performance of land based
field surveying activities in support of USACE engineering design and
construction activities. This session will consist of 36 hours of
classroom instruction. Course location, date and session number are:
Session 96-01, 24-28 June 1996, Contractor's Facility; Option years FY
97, FY 98 and FY 99 will be established for the session indicated.
Technical evaluation criteria will be set forth in the solicittion
scheduled to be issued on or about 20 November 1995. Copies of the
solicitation shall be obtained by written request without cost. One set
of the course material may be obtained from this office at a cost of
$45.00 (non-refundable). Payment will be made by certified check,
cashier's check, or money order payable to: Finance and Accounting
Officer, USAEDH. Telephonic requests will not be honored. All
responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by
the agency. The Standard Industrial Code applicable to this
procurement is 8999. For the purpose of the solicitation, any concern
whose gross annual receipts over the past 3 years do not exceed an
average of $5,000,000 is considered a small business. Contractor must
