PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: Part A: The work includes the construction of a 3,600 SF permanent Defense Printing Service Printing Plant and incidental related work. The building includes concrete fountations and slab on grade floors; concrete masonry, load bearing exterior walls; steel roof framing and deck with insulation; and access flooring over a depressed slab in the production area. Site preparation includes the removal of a wood frame garage. Construction of the Printing Plant, incidental related work and activation of government operations in the building will preceed construction of the Regional Cleaning and Metal Preparation Facility. Part B: Regional Cleaning and Metal Preparation Facility; the Metal Preparation Facility will be a 7,900 SF building that includes foundation, concrete floor and walls, corrosion resistant framing and insulated roof; approximately 4,000 SF treatment area with welded plastic tanks and a grated floor over a concrete pit; the false floor and pit will provide an efficient work platform and allow for ducts, conduit, pipes, drainage and maintenance service area below; two bridge cranes are required to support the tank area; site preparation includes the removal of concrete foundations and utilities for Building 508; and incidental related work. During performance of this work, asbestos, hazardous waste, or pollution abatement may be encountered. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 27 November 1995 at no charge until supply is exhausted. Contract completion time is 330 calendar days.
