ATCOM proposes to acquire on an other than full and open competition basis the labor, services, facilities, contractor furnished parts, materials, special tools, qualified personnel, necessary plant equipment, test equipment and data necessary to refurbish a maximum quantity of 100 UH-1 helicopters for an ordering period of 1 year plus an option year for a maximum quantity of 50. Deliveries of refurbished UH-1 aircraft are required to commence October 1996 at a rate of 5 per month. The required turn around time is 180 days to refurbish each UH-1 after its induction. The proposed contractor is UNC Helicopter Inc., Ozark, Alabama pursuant to the authority 10 U.S.C.(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii) and subject to availability of funds.
