The purpose of this announcement is to survey industry for production ready units and to develop a list of sources for a commercial off the shelf production contract. Contractors who have production ready units are requested to respond and provide copies of any commercial literature test reports which would substantiate any test performance claims, production capabilities, product supportability, maintainability and ability to provide worldwide service and parts. The government anticipates a need to contract for a high reach, truck mounted servicing/De-Icing Maintenance Platform, C-5/C- 17, NSN 1730-01-249-0097(JCA), in accordance with the commercial item description (CID) A-A-XXXXX, 25 Jan 95. The unit shall also be certified to be air transportable on both the C-5 and C-17 aircraft. The intended use of the unit is for the maintenance and De-Icing of both the C-5 and C- 17 aircraft.
