The National Technical Information Service (NTIS) is searching for joint venture partners with analytical, technical, editorial, worldwide distribution and marketing capabilities willing to enter into venture opportunities. This announcement is not limited to a particular opportunity but is a statement of willingness to consider joint venture opportunities in general of the following type. NTIS envisions the need for joint venture partner(s) to be materially involved in the creation of a series of informational products in the range of 50-500 pages. The joint venture partner(s) will provide editorial talent, support and collaboration as necessary to produce products focused on technology, trade or technically related issues addressing the needs of U.S. business firms. Joint venture partners will describe and demonstrate proven market expertise and access to subject matter editorial talent. A brief descriptive synopsis of their company's capabilities with a list of examples demonstrating the type of subject matter or market competence is required. Venture partner or partners will also need to describe their capacity to create, produce and distribute documents to meet various client specific requirements. Under terms of the joint venture, NTIS and joint venture partners will enter into agreements to fulfill development requests from various agency clients represented by NTIS to deliver electronic and product publications for distribution through the partner and NTIS marketing channels. Revenues will be shared for agreed upon portions of the projects and sales receipts.
