The project consists of cleaning and painting structural steel of the westbound and eastbound bridges, and eastbound ramp structures of the Dulles International Airport Access Highway (DIAAH) over Horsepen Run. In addition, it includes concrete encasement of existing piers, the repair of slope paving, and paved waterway at the East-West Service Road structure over the DIAAH. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Repair Concrete, 123 SQYD; Painting of 3 Structures, LPSM; Reinforced Shotcrete, 4 to 9 inches thick, 250 SQYD; Concrete Slope Paving, 23 SQYD. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $500,000 to $1,000,000 and has a construction completion date of December 31, 1996.
