Patton, (907)228-6240 The purpose and intent of this contract is to secure services for completing approximately 160 kilometers of preliminary line survey (P-Line) and 31 hydraulic site surveys of flagline locations for logging roads on the Ketchikan Area of Tongass National Forest. Surveying services will be on an as needed basis. The surveys are located on various areas of Prince of Wales and Revillagigedo Islands, and Cleveland Peninsula in Southeast Alaska. Evaluation criteria is as follows: (1) experience and qualification of firm, (2) experience and qualifications of the personnel assigned to the project, (3) type and extent of experience within the last 10 years as follows: (a) similar P-Line survey in remote Southeast Alaska locations; (b) similar hydraulic site surveys in Southeast Alaska locations; (c) other survey work in remote Southeast Alaska locations, (4) brief outline of proposed methods of lodging field persons in the remote sites and transportation to the project areas, (5) brief outline of contractor's ability to manage 3-4 separate crews doing work in a wide ranging area (160-320 kilometers apart) at the same time, in Southeast Alaska. How many similar projects such as this have you conducted in the last 10 years. This project is 100% set-aside for Labor Surplus Area concerns.
