Y -- CONSTRUCTION OF THE AGUA FRIA RIVER SIPHON REPLACEMENT AND CENTENNIAL WASH SIPHON REPAIR PROJECT Sol CAWCD-C12910C, Due 121995, contact Jim Haag, 602/870-2308, Contracting Officer, Clifford I. The work consists of earthwork for and construction of approximately 9,840 linear feet of 252-inch diameter pipe (cast in place concrete or steel alternatives); removing approximately 640 linear feet of existing siphon pipe; make connections to existing inlet and outlet transitions; removal and control of water during construction, including diversion and care of stream; earthwork for and construction of concrete structures; furnishing and erecting temporary fencing; furnishing and installing steel piping and high-performance butterfly valve; furnishing installing a jet-flow gate for the blowoff structure; furnishing and installing louvers; replacing existing communications cable; furnishing and installing approximately 990 linear feet of steel liner inside the existing prestressed concrete siphon pipe; backfill grouting between the steel linear and inside of siphon pipe; excavation for access ramp and breaking site for removing a portion of existing concrete siphon pipe; removing the top half of approximately 44 feet of existing concrete siphon pipe; and furnishing and installing miscellaneous metalwork. The two projects are located northwest of Phoenix, AZ. The IFB will be issued on October 30, 1995. The magnitude of construction is between $20 million and $35 million. Bonding will be required for this work. The cost for plans and specifications is $50.00 plus shipping charges. This charge is refundable for one set only which is returned in good order.
