20 -- INDUSTRY CONFERENCE FOR SHALLOW WATER TRAINING RANGE POC Contact, David Macaluso, Phone (703)604-2119 The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport will host an Industry Conference on behalf of the Naval Air Systems Command Tactical Training Ranges Program Office (PMA-248) for the Shallow Water Training Range (SWTR) Program. The SWTR program will provide the Navy with two large areas (up to 500 square nautical miles each) of underwater tracking ranges for training exercise operations off each coast of the continental United States. The acquisition is seperate and distinct from the Pacific Missile Range Facility Shallow Water Training Range (PMRF SWTR). A general briefing will be conducted 0830-1030 on Tuesday 05 Dec 1995, followed by an opportunity for each contractor to participate in a 30 minute private question and answer session with Government representatives from both the technical and contractual arenas. If necessary, this conference will be extended through 06 Dec 1995. The conference will focus on the in water hardware (acoustic transducers, cables, and installation) portion of the SWTR.
