COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF NOVEMBER 7,1995 PSA#1468Commander, Naval Air Systems Command (Code 2.0), 1421 Jefferson Davis
Hwy, Arlington, Va 22243-5120 B -- UAV COMMON CONTROL SYSTEM POC Contact, Anthony DeVico, Phone
(703)604-0903 The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Joint Project Office
(UAV/JPO) is developing a Common Control System (CCS) architecture that
defines interoperability and commonality among tactical UAV systems.
Interoperability is defined as the ability to handover, replan, operate
the air vehicle and payload, and exploit/utilize the payload data. The
architecture will be open and capable of operating with all future
tactical UAV systems while maintaining the capability to be retrofited
into existing UAV systems. To this end, the UAV/JPO developed Joint
integration Interfaces (JIIs) as interoperability architecture
guidance. The UAV/JPO is interested in obtaining industry comments and
suggestions on the JIIs from contractors who are knowledgeable and
experienced with: command, control and operations of UAVs, planning and
execution of airborne missions to support surveillance, target
acquisition or other forms of intelligence collection. Command, control
and operations of mission payloads for reconnaissance, surveillance,
target acquisition, and intelligence collection. The JIIs are available
on PC and MAC format and may be obtained by contacting Mr. Anthony
DeVico at (703) 604-0903 ext 3724. Discs will be available for pickup
at the Program Executive Officer for Cruise Missles and Joint Unmanned
Aerial Vehicles, 1213 Jefferson Davis Highway, Room 345, Arlington, VA
22246. No mailings will be made. Responses are requested as soon as
possible, but NLT 15 November 1995. Any participation will be strictly
