HQ AFSPC intends to extend the period of performance for three months (3) on contract F05603-91-C-0011 with Kaman Sciences Corporation. The performance period for this extension is 01 Oct 96 to 31 Dec 96. Subject contract is for nonpersonal services to provide direct operational support and software maintenance for communications, space surveillance and space defense computer systems, as well as systems engineering and integration analysis for the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) network, to the Cheyenne Mountain Systems Program Director (SPD), the Space and Warning Systems Directorate (SSSG/SMS), and the Space Systems Support Group Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (SSSG/SR). The extension of this contract is required to provide alignment of contractual services, between the current contract and the follow-on contractual effort (FY97-FY01) which will reduce risk to both NORAD/USSPACECOM/AFSPC mission operations and the Cheyenne Mountain Upgrade (CMU) acquisition program. The competetive acquisition for the follow-on effort is currently underway with the draft RFP issued on 15 Sep 95. The anticipated performance start date for the follow-on contract is 01 Jan 97.
