L -- PREDATOR UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE KU BAND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM SUPPORT POC Contact, Julianne Taylor, Phone (703)604-0903 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue orders under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-95-G-0135 with Loral Communication Systems (formerly Unysis Corporation, Communication Systems) for the supplies and services necessary to provide engineering, technical, and field support to operate and maintain the Predator Medium Altitude Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (MAE UAV) Ku-band communication system in CONUS/OCONUS operations and deployments. Loral Communication Systems is the sole designer and developer of the MAE UAV Ku-band system, and as such, is the only source with the technical expertise and data required to meet the Government's needs in the required time frame. The statutory authority for these procurements is Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source. See note No. 22 - NAVAIR Synopsis No. 40133-95. (0307)
