Defense Investigative Service (DIS). Seeking sources, technical information and solutions, approximate component pricing and industry comments on a draft statement of work for file automation and document conversion. DIS has a requirement to digitally store completed investigations. This entails converting approximately 3 million investigations stored in a microfiche format and converting paper documents associated with on-going investigations. All solutions proposed shall support and interface with existing Oracle 7 applications running on a DEC Unix platform. The objective is an integrated turn-key solution that meets the requirements of the specification (hardware, software, services, training, integration and installation).
