NASA-Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA, intends to procure one (1) Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) Test Set with the following specifications: The ATM Tester must be capable of analyzing all broad band layers including the physical layer, ATM layer, ATM adaptation layer and the service layer. Must be capable of ATM cell generation, load generation, and sequence generation. Must be able to traffic shape and police generated traffic. Must provide multiple load distribution models, especially the three state Makov Modulated Posson Process (MMPP). Must be capable of saving and storing data, triggering on captured cell content, and generating/capturing up to 8,000 cells. Must allow customizing of ATM cell by providing bit level access to the cell. Must provide Graphical User Interface to access all components. Should be capable of connecting to, and remote operation from, Legacy LANS, at minimum 802.3 ethernet, and must support TCP/IP. Must support a minimum of 6 usable slots. Must have an easily scalable, modular design and support the following interfaces: DS3, SONET (OC-3C, OC-12C) Multimode and singlemode fiber. The unit configuration and modules must consist of 1 ATM tester chassis, 1 ATM cell generator, 1 ATM cell analyzer, 1 ATM OC3 interface card (multimode fiber), 1 ATM OC3 interface card (singlemode fiber) 1 ATM DS3 interface card.
