Request for Information. The purpose of this synopsis is to solicit
information on existing Indefinite Delivery contracts which could be
used to install Government-furnished commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS)
hardware and software at Army bases in CONUS, as required to support
the Sustaining Base Information Services (SBIS) program. Tasks may
include installation of the site's backbone wiring (outside cable
plant), premise wiring, PCs, PC upgrades, LAN drops, and other devices
such as hubs, routers, printers, etc. Related automation tasks may
include utilization of Government-furnished configuration management
tools. Typically, work is performed under a tight delivery schedule in
an office environment in buildings which are widely dispersed at the
site. The Government implementation schedule may require the vendor to
perform concurrent installations at multiple, geographically-dispersed
sites. Vendor flexibility and responsiveness are considered to be
essential to customer satisfaction. Any vendors who have or are
participating in contracts in which the Army is in scope must respond
in writing to ISSAA at the above address giving the vendor's name and
address, and POC name and telephone number; the contracting agency for
the vendor's contract; contract number; and contract POC and telephone
number. Vendors without existing contracts are not encouraged to reply
to this synopsis. Responding vendors also should provide information
on vendor's relevant corporate capabilities and limitations. No
delivery order will be awarded to any vendor solely as a result of a
response to this synopsis. Response to this synopsis is due NLT 1
