Construction of a new 2 story structural steel-framed, 37,000 square foot administrative building for the KC-10 flying crews and maintenance staff.The building includes: standing seam metal roof; composite lightweight concrete second floor supported by open joists, beams, girders, and columns. The first floor is reinforced concrte slab on gade. The foundation system is column spread footings with continuous strip wall footings. Exterior walls are masonry cavity walls constructed of CMU with brick facing. Interior partitions will generally be constructed of steel studs with gypsum board facing or of CMU. The building will receive high temperature hot water from the McGuire central heating plant for heating via the HTHW distribution system. The facility will be furnished with new HVAC systems. domestric hot water and cold water and plumbing be fully sprinklered (wet pipe system hydrualically designed) be furnished with electric power and lighting throughout, be wired for telephone and a Local Area Network system and have an elevator. Furnishing and installation of prewired workstations are also included. The scopoe of work includes: site utilities, sidewalks, bituminous paved roads and parking, grading, storm drainage, and landscaping. Demoliton of two exsiting buildings, removal of asbestos within these buildings, and removal of underground storage tanks is also included in the work.
