The disposal area dike will require about 430,000 cubic yards of material that will be excavated from a borrow area located within the interior of the disposal area. The job will also require about 15,400 linear feet of fencing, 44 acres of turf establishment, and clearing and grubbing of 152 acres. The disposal area weirs are connected to each other and dike by a wooden walkway. The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining the required burn permits and disposal areas for cleared and miscellaneous debris. There is no waterway dredging in the contract. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on or about 01 Nov 95. Invitation DACW17-96-B-0006 will be issued on or about 05 Jan 96 and opened on or about 15 Feb 96. Cost of Plans and Specifications is $40.00.
