This is a notice of intent to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP)5-58759/242 on a sole source basis for a firm-fixed-price contract to Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC). The Enhanced Support Program is designed specifically to compliment the needs of SDRC's customers implementing the I-DEAS Master Series software. The Enhanced support will be for a period of one year with a one year option to provide user assistance and structured training essential for maximum utilization of the I-DEAS Master Series software. The I-DEAS Master Series is a tool to effectively bridge organizational and productivity barriers between the design, drafting, analysis and fabrication disciplines. SDRC is the developer and owner of the software and is considered to be the only source uniquely qualified to instruct the Government in the utilization of the highly complex software. For this reason, SDRC is uniquely qualified, under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), as Only One Responsible Source.
