behalf of the Defense Manpower Data Center has a requirement to
administer the Youth Attitude Tracking Study (YATS) Data Collection--A
half-hour computer-assisted telephone interview (CATI) will be
administered to a national sample of approximately 10,000 youth between
the ages of 16 and 24 regarding their attitudes toward military service
(including specific) branch or component preference), plans for the
next few years, goals in life, interests, media habits, and awareness
of military advertising. The purpose of the survey is to provide the
Armed Services with market data that enables them to more accurately
target advertising and recruiting activities to appeal to potential
recruit populations. THe initial project consists of producing two
reports; options include design and selection of the sample,
modification of the survey instrument, questionnaire administration,
compilation and weighting of the data, production of preliminary and
public use data tapes and preparation of documentation and analytical
reports. The administration of 10,000 interviews must be conducted over
