Brown, Contracting Officer; 301/713-0829 STAT-USA is a unit of the Economics and Statistics Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA. STAT-USA complies and provides computer access to over 500,000 Federal documents, collection from three dozen agencies, via computer bulletin board services, Internet access and information services, and CD-ROMs. STAT-USA's products include economic indicators, trade statistics, trade leads, and other business information, appearing under the titles of Economic Bulletin Board(r), the National Trade Data Bank (tm), STAT-USA/Internet, and others. STAT-USA wishes to promote wider access to its information collection by entering into distribution partnerships with organizations having electronic information distribution services or channels, distributing general or specified information. The partnership arrangement would provide for STAT-USA to deliver all or part of its data repository to a partner's computer site that would ''mirror'' of or link to the STAT-USA site. STAT-USA would provide continuous updates on a regular basis to this document collection as information flows to it from contributing Federal agencies. The arrangement would be on a non-exclusive basis, with sharing of the revenues as agreed upon by the parties. STAT-USA will continue to operate it's electronic-document collection, formatting, and storage functions, and will make this collection available via bulletin board system (BBS), fax transmission, the Internet, and CD-ROM. STAT- USA intends to enter into partnerships with all qualified responding organizations. The documents stored and distributed by STAT-USA are entirely in the public domain. STAT-USA is seeking information and expressions of interest from vendors who can demonstrate and document the following: (1) technical capability to disseminate information by computer-based techniques; (2) adequate computer capability/power to load and deliver STAT-USA's information repository; (3) an established market or customer base; and (4) plans for prooting STAT-USA's data repository. Experience with disseminating information from other Federal or State agencies is highly desirable, in addition, to the capability to convert the data into a more user-friendly format. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which addresses the requirements numbered in (1) - (4), to the address as indicated above. (0311)
