COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF NOVEMBER 9,1995 PSA#1470DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY AUTOMATED VENDOR ACCESS TO RED/YELLOW/GREEN
CONTRACTOR EVALUATION PROGRAM AND PRODUCT DEFICIENCY REPORTING AND
EVALUATION PROGRAM Contact points: Automated Vendor Access,
603-431-9460 ext. 464; Red/Yellow/Green Program 717-790-2735. The
Assistant Secretary of the Navy (RD&A) (ABM) announces establishment of
an automated system to provide electronic access to the Navy's Product
Deficiency Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP) database. The
automated system enables vendors to view their past performance data as
well as their Red/Yellow/Green (RYG) Program Federal Supply Class
classifications. The automated access system is provided by two generic
client packages; one that provides access via dial up, another that
provides access via the Internet. To use either of the client packages,
a 286 or better PC is required. The user of the dial up client package
should have a 9600 or better BPS modem. For access to the system, each
vendor must submit a written request to the Naval Sea Logistics Center
Detachment, Naval Material Quality Assessment Office (NMQAO), 80
Daniel Street, Suite 400, Portsmouth, New Hampshire 03801. The request
must be submitted on company letterhead and include the requester's
name, title, company name, address, telephone number and CAGE code
(CAGE code is mandatory). NMQAO will provide each vendor with a
password, any required software, and information on accessing their
individual PDREP and RYG classification data. Effective 1 January 1996,
monthly RYG classification notifications will no longer be mailed. Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0452 19951108\SP-0002.MSC)
