The work includes replacing the steam generating bank tubes in an ABB Boiler Model VU-50. This contract is to be a sole source award to the original manufacturer. The design of the system is proprietary to ABB/Combustion Engineering Services, Inc. The original manufacturer owns all proprietary data and technical information related to the design. Only the original manufacturer has the ability to meet the agency's schedule. Work must commence in December 1995 and must be completed within 60 days. Other concerns having questions regarding the agency's proposed action are requested to respond to the points of contact listed in this notice within 45 calendar days from the date of this publication. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition is within the discretion of the Government. (310)
