The U.S. Army is in the process of developing a COST-benefit analysis for performance specifications for the C2a1 canister. The proposed canister must be compatible with current and future protective masks and blowers and provide performance at least equal to the current canister. The can ister can be NO heavier or larger than the current canister and agent capacity must be equivalent or greater than the current canister.
