Service at JFK Airport, Jamaica, New York has a requirement for
medical services to be provided for international passengers entering
the United States and suspected of internal concealment of illegal
drugs into the country. These services shall include a medical facility
capable of offering on-site x-ray, radiographic evaluation, pregnancy
tests for female suspects, medical examinations, and physician services
available 24 hours per day. The services shall also provide internment
of the patients with around-the-clock monitoring at the facility. The
facility must have life support capabilities for emergencies with an
ambulance on call to handle any such emergencies. The facility should
be within the general proximity of JFK airport to enable this agency to
effectively transport and process the suspects. The performance period
for the proposed contract is a base period with four one year option
periods. For each fiscal year, to include the base and four option
years if exercised, the minimum amount of each delivery order will be
$500,000.00 and the maximum amount of each order will not exceed
$900,000.00. For each fiscal year to include the base and four options,
the minimum cumulative total of all orders issued will be
$2,500,000.00, and the maximum cumulative total will not exceed
$4,500,000.00. This agency intends to procure these services sole
source from Kennedy Medical Offices, Building #198, JFK Airport,
Jamaica, NY 11430. The reason for procuring this requirement sole
source is that a thorough market survey of the area revealed no other
sources capable of furnishing equivalent services that can meet the
mission needs of Customs. However, all responsible sources may submit
a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. See Numbered Note
