Symposium on the Coastal and Marine Environment Along the U.S./Mexico Border. In recognition that the coastal and marine environment of the border area is particularly sensitive and deserves special attention, and to emphasize the shared responsibility of the U.S. and Mexico for the wise management of the living and non-living resources of this environment, the Minerals Management Service, on behalf of the Department of the Interior, is sponsoring the symposium. The symposium will be held August 12-15, 1996, in Corpus Christi, Texas. In support of the event logistical assistance is required that includes, but is not limited to, preparation of announcements and public relations activities, transportation arrangements, conference facility management, translation and interpretation services (English/Spanish), and satisfaction of printing needs. A bilingual fluency, in both written and oral communications of a technical nature, by the contractor is a mandatory requirement. The response date for offers will be 30 days after issue of the RFP; issue of the RFP is anticipated within 30 days of this notice. All requests for the RFP must be in writing, telephone requests will not be honored. This acquisition is a small business set-aside. (312)
