The facility will contain BL-2, and BL-3 laboratories, auditorium, library, classrooms, administrative offices, conference rooms, supply and service areas, and a cafeteria. The interstitial mechanical distribution system concept is used. There will be a connecting tunnel, and addition and alterations adjacent Building 511. Supporting facilities include electrical power, emergency generators, communications, stand-alone EMCS, fire protection, and fire detection systems. Site improvements include new storm drains, lighting, surface parking and a parking structure, relocation of public utilities and storm drainage, water, natural gas piping, sanitary sewer, and storm water management.
