Contractor to provide all equipment, labor, and materials necessary for the replacement of three (3) modules for an automatic storage type water heater model no. 4000-2NH3800-6A-TP, automatic storage type water heater model no. 4000-2NH3800-6A-TP, mfg. by PVI Industries, Inc., Vessels have a 3800 gallon storage capacity, are equipped for natural gas, working pressure of 125 lbs., hydrostatic test 188 lbs, input BTUH 3,200,000, recovery 4000 gl/hr., manifold gas pressure 5'' W.C., inlet gas pressure 8'' W.C., 120 volt, 48 amp., 1-ph, turbo power, nickel shield, max W.P. 125 PSI, maximum input 3,200,000 BTUH, year built 1985. Installation will be required on two separate units, located in two different areas within the institution. There will be one module located in the North unit heater, serial no. 118556796, vessel ASME data, board no. 56796, and two modules located in the South unit heater serial no. 118556795, vessel ASME data, board no. 56795. Installation shall include removal of existing modules and replacement of O.E.M. new modules with a turbo power energy package, to include combustion chamber, chamber mounting gaskets, flue collector (painted and insulated), Insulation insert, burner mounting gasket, firepak compound, fastener kit for rear head. The unit shall be fired and the efficiency tested (an efficiency indicator shall be furnished). Contractor shall also be responsible for the removal and replacement of other equipment to include, but not limited to the following: Heat exchanger, piping and stand, natural gas line, circulator pump(s), and piping for circulators. Heat must be maintained throughout the institution, therefore, the hydronic heating equipment must be reinstalled within 24 hours. All parts and equipment removed will remain the property of the U.S. Government. The magnitude of this project is $25,000 to $100,000. This will be a firm-fixed-price contract. Solicitation documents will be made available on or about December 4, 1995. Due to the type of facility involved and the security procedures required, it is strongly recommended that all prospective bidders inspect the site. Mr. John Wessner is designated as site inspection coordinator. Bidders will be permitted to inspect the site from Monday, December 4, 1995, through Monday, December 18, 1995, between the hours of 0730 to 1600, Monday through Friday by contacting the site inspection coordinator at 814-472-4140 extension 136. All requests for solicitation documents must be in writing. The SIC code is 1711 with a size standard of $7.0 million. Time for completion is 45 calendar days.
