The work includes designing and constructing the replacement of an air pollution control device for chrome scrubbing. The project consists of incidental related work and the following: a. Removal of the existing chrome scrubber. Placing the hazardous material in drums for disposal by the Government. Removal of pumps and piping. b. Reuse existing exhaust fan and mist eliminator. Make ductwork modifications. Provide new chrome scrubber to achieve an emission rate of 0.02 mg/amp-hr or less based on an inlet load of 25 mg/amp-hr, average tank load of 15,000 amps, and an exhaust of 26,000 CFM. c. Providing all necessary electrical and piping modifications. d. Providing source testing and certification. Applying for air pollution construction permit and for air pollution operating permit. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The contractor will be selected by informal competitive negotiation. The offers will be evaluated on price and other non-price (technical/management) related criteria. Price and technical/management factors are equal in value.
