Z -- ASBESTOS ABATEMENT ``L'' BUILDING, NAVAL ORDNANCE STATION, CRANE DIVISION, NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, LOUISVILLE, KY SOL N68950-96-B-1004 DUE 122195. The work includes the provision of all labor, equipment, facilities, and supervision necessary to complete the abatement of asbestos in Building ``L'', Columns A-U and 21 to 25 and incidental related work. Building ``L'' is an overhaul and assembly facility. It is a brick building with windows and panels half way up the walls, with the ceiling at 60'. Debris may contain paint chips containing lead. The main area to be cleaned is 400' x 80', on the north end. The interior of the office area (10' x 25'), the Clean Room (30' x 40') and the Electrical Lab (20' x 40') are not included in the work. The work includes replacement of pipe insulation and removal of abandoned piping, and removal and disposal of all asbestos contaminated material. All floor space shall be clean and free of asbestos. The walls, columns, beams, trusses and ceiling are included in the work. Industrial equipment exists within the area which cannot be moved; it shall be cleaned in place.
