The software will reside on all clinical workstations throughout the medical center and will be integrated to a Decentralized Hospital Computer Program (DHCP). The software should allow the care provider to generate patient notes via an automated pick list text generator or voice recognition. The software should also be able to automatically generate Current Procedure Terminology (CPT) codes based upon the text selected by the provider. This CPT code should also be able to be automatically dumped to DHCP. The software should eliminate additional contracted transcription costs associated with charting and provide for 100% charting of the VA's clinical notes utilizing the software. The software should have an automated text generator and CPT coding embedded for an ambulatory care setting. The VA will need access to the software's proprietary code in order that the VA may write integration code to establish the linkages to DHCP. End user telephone hotline support, end user training, and software upgrades should also be available. This is a request for vendor product information and not a request for proposal.
