A -- VACCINE PRODUCTION FACILITY SOL NIH-NIAID-DMID-96-13 DUE 011996 POC Contracting Officer, Cyndie Cotter, (301)402-0641. The Clinical and Regulatory Affairs Branch (CRAB), Division of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (DMID), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) has a requirement for a Vaccine Production Facility. The contractor and/or subcontractor(s) must have expertise and capability in all aspects of development and pilot lot production, including safety testing. Vaccines that may be produced during the life of the contract include viral (live and inactivated), bacterial, parasitic and fungal preparations and subfractions consisting of polysaccharides, nucleic acids, lipoproteins, and/or synthetic or purified proteins (either linear or variations of branched multiple antigen preparations) intended for evaluation in humans as experimental vaccines. All vaccines produced from this contract must be prepared in accordance with the regulations and guidelines established by the Food and Drug Administration for materials to be tested in humans. Candidate vaccines to be produced may include, but are not limited to, influenza viruses, respiratory syncytial viruses, rotaviruses, meningococcus, streptococcus, gonococcus and vibrio cholera. It is anticipated that one (1) cost-reimbursement contract will be awarded for a period of five (5) years.
