The Defense Personnel Support Center (DPSC) is soliciting proposals for long range pojects which offer opportunities for the advancement and improvement of technology and manufacturing in all aspects of the Combat Ration industry. Written requests for a publication containing a more detailed statement of the agency's research and development needs should be made to the address shown above. This announcement will be open initially for 60 days from the date of publication and remain open for one year. Award decisions will be a competitive selection of proposals resulting from a peer and/or scientific review. Separate evaluations will be conducted for each part of submissions requested by the BAA. DPSC intends to make awards based on the technical evaluation and the availability of funds. Therefore, the number of awards resulting from this announcement can be from none of the proposals to all. Academic institutions, small disadvantaged businesses, historically black colleges and universities and minority institutions are especially encouraged to participate.
