This is an informal survey for information and planning purposes only. The U.S. Army tank-automotive, research, development and engineering Center (TARDEC) is seeking industry participa tion in the definition of a technical architecture (TA) for ground vehicle weapon system platforms. The TA is alist of building codes that are used to develop a system architecture to meeting the performance requirements of a weapon system. The TA will become a part of an integrated Army technical architecture (ATA) document along with the current command control, communcations, comp uters and intelligence (C4I) technical architecture developed as part of the Army Enterprise strategy. The use of Commercial, industry-based products, processes, services, interface and standards for Military application need to be optimized in order to achieve reduced develo pment and life cycle COST benefits.
