Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC), management and operating contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) at the Savannah River Site (SRS) near Aiken, South Carolina, is seeking industrial partner(s) to participate in joint development and commercialization of hydrogen technologies. Areas of interest include hydrogen technology for use in defense, chemical, energy, transportation, heating, refrigeration, air conditioning and medical applications. Hydrogen is an attractive energy source because it is environmentally safe and it is a clean burning fuel that produces only water when burned. WSRC's capabilities include a Hydrogen Technology Laboratory (HyTech) that has extensive experience in hydrogen technologies including metal hydrides. Prospective partners should be currently involved in hydrogen technology activities, meet U.S. competitiveness requirements, have a substantial market share in one or more market sectors or a unique, proprietary position in hydrogen technology. Selected partners will have an arrangement and willingness to share royalties on jointly developed, partner funded advancements.
