112995 POC Brenda Holmes, Contracting Officer, (405) 954-7850 FAA has
a requirement for 24 pre-screened subjects for a sleep loss study to
evaluate lapses of attention and other fatique effects. The total
number of hours acquired for this study shall not exceed 1344 hours. 12
subjects must be within the age range of 25-30 years and 12 subjects
must be within the age range of 50-55 years. Subjects cannot have
histories of head/brain trauma or drug or alcohol abuse. Subjects
cannot have current medical conditions nor prescription drug use.
Subjects must have normanl eye-glasses corrected vision (no contacts
can be worn during experimental sessions). The research study will be
conducted at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City,
OK. Request for solicitation must be in writing (facsimile
405-954-2727). Pursuant to FAR 5.102(a) (1), a limited number of RFQ's,
not to exceed 25, will be maintained for issuance in response to this
synopsis copies will be issued on a first come-first served basis.
Therefore, interested firms should submit their request as soon as
possible. Additional copies of this RFQ will not be produced upon
exhaustion of the initial supply. For Minority, Women-Owned and
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation
(DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has
programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business
enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding
assistance for transportation-related contacts. Loans are available
under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates
up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing.
The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides
an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
