The 38 Logistics Squadron intends to continue leasing US West equipment currently in place at USAF Academy CO through a sole source lease with US West Communications, INC (USWC) CENTRON intrastate and intra LATA local telecommunications service that provides CENTREX Private Line service for 4000 switched dial lines, and network access to Digital and Analog Direct In-dial (DID), Direct Out-dial (DOD), and Two-way trunk groups with administrative operator assistance. System provided features include Add-on all calls, Automatic Call Back, Automatic Identification of Outward Dialed Calls (AIOD), Call Forwarding, Call Hold, Call Pick-up, Call Waiting, Call Transfer, Common Recorded Announcements, Consultation Hold, Customer Changeable Speed Dial, Intercom between stations, Touch-tone Calling, Series Completing and Multi-Line Hunting, and Class of Service Restriction option. Peripheral Call Management equipment consisting of Station Message Detail Recording (SMDR), Billing Media Converter, Automatic Trunk Answering on Listed Directory Numbers for night service, Touch-tone receivers and senders, and Autovon (DSN) interface equipment. Lease will cover operations and maintenance of all equipment and services. This aquisition is being conducted under the Air Force's regulatory delegation of GSA's exclusive procurement authority for Federal Information Processing (FIP) resources. The specific GSA DPA case number is not applicable. This sole source acquisition is justified under 10 USC 2304(c)(1). The Government intends to issue a Communication Service Authorization (CSA) for the USAF Academy CO. The CSA will be written against the Defense Commercial Communications Office (DECCO) Basic Agreement DCA 200-93-H-0018 and the contract lease period will be approximatly 01 JAN 96 through 31 DEC 96.
