The 38 Logistics Squadron intends to continue leasing GTE equipment currently in place at Goodfellow AFB TX through a sole source lease with GTE Southwest Incorporated a GTD-4600 Electronic Switching System that provide 2048 switched dial lines, and network access to Digital and Analog Direct In-dial (DID), Direct Out-dial (DOD), Two-way trunk groups. System includes Peripheral Call Management equipment consisting of Line/Port/DSI Carrier interface, Touch-tone Receivers and Senders, Autovon (DSN) interface equipment, Recorder Announcer, Meet Me Conference arrangement, Remote Access, Music on Hold, Paging Access, Secondary Crash System, Energy Monitoring System, Attendant consoles, and an auxiliary power back-up system. Lease will cover operations and maintenance of all equipment and services. This acquisition is being conducted under the Air Force's regulatory delegation of GSA's exclusive procurement authority for Federal Information Processing (FIP) resources. . The specific GSA DPA case number is not applicable. This sole source acquisition is justified under 10 USC 2304(c)(1). The Government intends to issue a Communication Service Authorization (CSA) for Goodfellow AFB TX.
