Mallgrave (301) 975-6330 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a contractor to provide the necessary labor, equipment, and materials in completing the following: crane/hoist repairs; crane/hoist replacements; correction of discrepancies found during annual CFR-29 inspections; load testing for cranes/hoists; and load ratings for steel members and structures associated with cranes and hoists, all to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Standard CFR-29. The Government anticipates an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, Time and Materials type of contract. The period of performance shall be twelve (12) months, beginning approximately July 1996, with two (2) twelve-month options to renew. Performance shall be at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, Maryland. Only contractors which have no affiliation with the annual CFR-29, Crane/Hoist inspections at NIST, shall be eligible for award of this contract.
