Z -- REPLACE MOTOR STARTERS, FISC, NAVAL STATION, MAYPORT, FLORIDA Sol Contract N62467-91-B-6237, Due 010596, POC OICC Office. The work includes replacing an existing freestanding motor control center housed in a pre-engineered walk-in NEMA 3R enclosure. The motor control center being replaced serves fuel transfer pumps located at Buildings 201, 202, 203 and 204 and sump pumps and controls. The projects also includes remedial work at Buildings 203 and 204 for compliance with NCE hazardous location requirements. Additionally, this project includes recoating the bottom of one empty 100 ft diameter, 20 ft tall direct buried fuel tank (interior of tank). Bid opening date listed in item 10 is approximate. Request bid documents by 22 December 1995. Estimated cost is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The proposed acquisition listed herein is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns shall notify this office in writing, attn: Code R20.3 of their intention to bid the project as prime contractor as early as possible but no later than 15 days after this notice. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status shall be submitted with references. If you have submitted this information to this office within the last year, you need only to state that you have submitted and request the plans and specifications. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice.
