This effort is a continuation of the current independent verification and validation (IV&V) of Boeing Defense and Space Group generated Inertial Upper Stage (IUS) flight software. The successful offerer shall assume 100% of the IUS IV&V responsibilities from contract start and must demonstrate capability to support critical government launch schedules. IV&V tasks include verification that requirements are implemented in the design and properly flowed down to the flight code, validation that mission requirements are met to include independent generation of flight load parameters, verification of the flight software build process, and verification of the correctness of the built flight software products. This effort requires a real-time, closed- loop simulation capable of interfacing with prototype IUS flight hardware running IUS flight software, a scientific based simulation, a suite of analytical tools, and the capability to perform detailed analyses, interpret results, and document recommendations in a formal problem reporting database. Secret clearance is required. The period of performance for the basic contract will be Dec 1997 through Sep 1998 with 4 one year options. Draft RFP is scheduled for release 14 Mar 96.
